It is with pure excitement...  I announce I received the 5th Anniversary cover of Charlotte Style Magazine. To have my photo chosen as this cover is slightly mind numbing. It was released during several important times in fashion but most important a 5th Anniversary cover is a complete surprise. Its a complete humbling surprise to be chosen as the photographer gracing the cover of Charlotte Style Magazine. 

If you follow my blog you will know Style and I have a crush on each other. What you don't know is once the image leaves my hands I have no clue what will make the cut. I often add a wild card to the finals when submitting and hope a card is played and it was. To me this is a very important time in fashion..... compound being the anniversary cover released during fashion week... to be part of this fashion buzz is pure excitement.

When Kelly Thomas contacted me to photograph her for professional reasons I immediately became excited. I photographed Kelly for a magazine (Clt Style) last year and she was great. Kelly is hard to explain... meaning she is comfortable in her own skin, laughs a lot and between us she has a star quality. I think being a heavy hitter in the hair art world is just a small step in her life's journey... I see her on a larger stage. As a matter of fact a artist manager dropped by that day and once Ms. Kelly laughed her way out of the door the artist manager & I could not stop talking about Kelly and her amazing presence.

We had so much fun over a few hours achieving the images above. Not only is Kendrick a sweet person she embraces creativity (hence the use if her amazing location and chandelier. Charlotte Style Magazine behind the scenes preview

This is a sneak peek from the Charlotte Style Magazine photo shoot. The top five most fashionable will be revealed during the Charlotte STYLE Magazine’s 25 Most Stylish Event to Benefit the American Heart Association of Charlotte. I shot 5 portraits and one group shot in the Historic Dyestuff Building and in the offices of Design Resource Group March 21. It was really a lot of fun and now it's official I have style because I have the cover. I wish I could tell you more but it's not my story to tell...... yet.
