Follow the Journey to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York
Erin is pleased to announce a project. As a representative of STYLE Media she is required to document the journey of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York. You will be able to follow her social media or view the journey first with STYLE directly.
As you are aware Erin has a passion for photography and is not timid when it comes to shooting to tell a story. She often documents her personal journey from airport to location such as her image in Portland, Oregon. This image contained racks of product shrouded in plastic and tent covered. Erin takes pride in putting her client first while being discrete visually. When viewing her feeds you may notice additional visual hints. Erin states "People can be lazy and my job is to not spoon feed them visual in my personal feeds but client feeds yes. My job is to make the client happy, then myself and hopefully others will see something unique". Erin's assignment dates are September 6th-13th. She will extend her journey with additional projects and invites you to follow this as well and adds "What would you like to see? I would love to know, email me."

Models without Makeup - Natural
Models without Makeup - Natural
When a model says I'm reworking my portfolio my agency requires all natural no makeup, my hair & a happy look I freeze and started asking questions... It seems Ms. Katrina is on fire all by herself the rest is her story to tell but I'm excited we worked some magic together. Keep in mind I'm showing my favorites and only one happy look.. Thanks for viewing..

How nice I get to shoot her twice
How nice I get to shoot her twice
When Kelly Thomas contacted me to photograph her for professional reasons I immediately became excited. I photographed Kelly for a magazine (Clt Style) last year and she was great. Kelly is hard to explain... meaning she is comfortable in her own skin, laughs a lot and between us she has a star quality. I think being a heavy hitter in the hair art world is just a small step in her life's journey... I see her on a larger stage. As a matter of fact a artist manager dropped by that day and once Ms. Kelly laughed her way out of the door the artist manager & I could not stop talking about Kelly and her amazing presence.
Thank you Kelly for contacting me... Break a leg!
** basic professional shown & some play too**

Model - Bailey Ward
Model - Bailey Ward
Bailey was a treat to work with starting with her initial shoot inquiry. She has been in front of the camera, walked the runway and inquired knowing new images showcasing her were a must for marketing in the city. Bailey researched me and her makeup & hair artist Jami Svay. She did so much homework on me she mentioned things I forgot about, put it this way Bailey is all business while having fun. We shot several looks for different purposes but these are a few of my favorites.

Recently I shot work of stylist & celebrity television personality Rashon Carraway for Style Media LLC. Rashon was a lot of fun to work with. He is extremely detail oriented and that's how someone lands on the Nate Berkus show and what makes him a dream to work with. It was a pleasure to shoot his work and to have my work represented by Style Media LLC.

Charming Charleston - Charleston, South Carolina

Charming Charleston - Charleston, South Carolina
Thanks to Style Media for scheduling this shoot and publishing my editorial in both Charlotte Style Magazine and Carolina Style Magazine. Additional phrases goes to Vendue Inn for use of your interior. You will notice the Charlotte Style 8pg. spread above large to show the 'in print' (left) and 'master' (right) and just below the final 6pg. spread in Carolina Style.
What a great shoot and shoot team. My subjects were pretty special too. Anna Lassiter is also a designer who has shown during Charleston Fashion Week. She is quite a public figure as well in Charleston as she was stopped on the street for a few hellos. Jay Byars is on the current season of Survivor on CBS. I did tune in for 15 mins to discover he cleans up well and know Jay can keep a secret. I tried to find out who won and basically he cant discuss one word but it was fun trying.
Thank You

Oh What ...My Oscar Photo Hit The News - Style Media launches Carolina Style
Wow Im stunned and still excited when I see this set of images. It was a true privilege to document a private interview with the EIC of Style Media & Oscar de la Renta. To be honest it was a lot of self imposed pressure and still a fashion high to this day... Oh Oscar you were so nice, the entire experience was so cool and if I had a hint of being nervous it quickly vanished after all I was in good hands with my EIC & Oscar.
With that said.... Style Media grew and launched a new magazine titled Carolina Style. I will post additional great news for me w/ Style Media & Carolina Style as all of this has been such a sweet surprise its actually hard to wrap my head around the excitement... so until then look I photographed a private interview with Oscar de la Renta and it was included in a news package.. WOW

Seventeen Magazine Nika Ad Run Over
April 13th ...Phone alert goes off and I sigh deeply because it's over. I shot the ad for Nika formals that ran in Seventeen Magazine for well months... It was a fun run of me in my travels finding the issue and bugging my social media. I found the issue in NY, NC, SC, VA, Oh, & people sent me images from Fla., Ca, TX & Washington State.... Thanks You Guys!!! My original plan was to find it and post it but to be honest I got a little tired of my "Shameless" campaign so I pretty much stopped... It was a great run so thanks to everyone for sharing your snaps shots and for taking a social media beating from me... E
Charleston Fashion Week
I had the privilege of shooting Charleston Fashion Week for Charlotte Style/Style Media. Above is a small sample of what I shot out of 5 days of shooting runway. Having 5 days to shoot I also shot for me YES but not the runway.... that's pure business of shoot and its due now so take a look at the sample sheet and think hundreds of image went out.... wow right but I thrive on this..... Again it is a privilege to shoot runway and I thank Charlotte Style/Style Media for having me cover this amazing event.... Charleston Fashion Week... OK it was so pretty... it actually gives New York Fashion Week a run for its money, I know this because I shot that too.... Amazing right, I'm so lucky.... Thank you for your time... E

Photo Shoot in Charleston with Clothing Pulled from the Runway of Charleston Fashion Week 2012
Its hard to explain how grateful I am when it comes to my photography and shooting with amazing people. Ive had a crazy run and every turn seems to leave me knowing if it all ends tomorrow its been a fun ride.
I had a shoot in Charleston for Style Media and the talent in front of me held a few cards... One of the models is a designer and is part of Charleston Fashion Weeks history and very well known... she was stopped on the streets ... talk about cool and the second model is on the reality tv show Survivor but will not say if he won.... my hope is he does so vote & cheer for Jay... I would also like to add the MUA/Hair Stylist was amazing.. she on site did amazing work it as crazy... Then the two stylists for the shoot jammed it out including pulled right off the runway from Charleston Fashion Week... It was amazing to see what I just shot on the runway in front of me... To be honest when one item walked I thought of what I could do with that & did it was so cool to have my random thoughts happen... I also had my publisher & assistant by my side to cheer and help me...
News travels fast... the next day in the Charleston Fashion Week Media Room one of the main coordinators knew I/style media had a shoot with fashion pulled from the runway... So the lesson is ... fashion as vast as it is really is a small community always be good.....So random I know I'm not a writer so the final visuals will hit April 14th at the release party

Gretchen Rossi - Real House Wives of Orange County
Gretchen Rossi - Real House Wives of Orange County
The Gretchen Rossie shoot took place in New York and is published in Linger Magazine. I regrouped with JPO Concepts of New York for the location. The actual location is in Soho and named Prince Street Penthouse, with a name like that it’s a must have. We incorporated the rooftop patio area and utilized the skyline view. I promised myself every time I could shoot on a fire escape as a nod to Karl Lagerfeld I would so we tagged it (minus the scissor lift). The building entry has a beautiful set of doors and with the stunning Nika gown as suggested by the mua Jami Svay this scene was perfectly sexy. Then we hit the street to “grab a cab”. Shooting the cab was a blast. I have never laughed so hard ‘with’ a subject, it was fun.
This shoot team was a group of artists coming together to create a final look. With that said it really was a shoot with artists, Gretchen is one too. Not only was she nice but has a fun artistic vibe. Many thanks to everyone for a great day and to the shot team for sharing your beautiful work. I promised myself to keep blogs short 'so' below you will notice a few b&w images plus a shoot video to be released. Thank you for viewing and again many thanks to everyone.

* Extra exciting news - Gretchen posed for one of my photo series (not shown) and you know I could not resist shooting a few in black and white. The roof top lighting/skyline, the stunning Nika Gown with all the glamour of Hollywood in New York it felt natural... additional b&w are shown in the shoot video..

The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Film & Photography, Mary Beth, Diamonds & They Let Me Do What....
The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Film & Photography, Mary Beth, Diamonds
& They Let Me Do What....
I'm the first to admit I'm a fan of the arts and if and when my favorite museum calls I just say yes. I had the privilege of being asked to join a donation package. The package included a Diamond necklace from Diamonds Direct and a fun fashion shoot inside of The Galleries of The Light Factory - Contemporary Museum of Film & Photography in Charlotte NC. I had a choice of two galleries and chose the main gallery for its beautiful wood floors, the entry wall color and 'Oh My' how often do I have this opportunity.. 'NEVER' so I grabbed it.
We worked the main wall with its stunning color and fun text. The thought was avoid throwing lighting on the art & have fun.. so we did. Keep in mind I prefer to shoot barefoot but with this shoot Mary Beth the subject kicked off her shoes and we had a blast shooting (preview above). Many thanks to everyone who assisted. I would like to give a special thank you to The Light Factory staff for trusting me inside the gallery with this shoot and to Dee for scheduling everything (she is my hero).

Being Grateful
Being Grateful
Over the past few months I have discovered a lot. The most important is when I stop to think about my photo journey is I feel grateful for everyone who has crossed my path, people who have said yes, to those who have shown me a path and those who cheer for me. Its strange to say but my journey has been pretty wild when I stop to think about it. Long nights/days, high coffee intake and often laughing at GPS because truth be known the colors on the map create pretty patterns and what direction is that arrow pointing... who knows .. its what I make of it and if it ends tomorrow I would be sad but very proud to have met some amazing people and grateful to those who have opened doors and those who laugh with me knowing I just carried 65lbs of gear in 29 degree weather wearing one glove 7 blocks because I believe that's part of my journey.
Again many thanks to everyone I'm grateful!
E
ps... I'm a photographer not a writer sorry my writer friends I know you just dropped your head in shame but you love me & I love you! & my bestie for showing me music is a great friend :)

Megan Scott
Megan Scott
Ms. Megan Scott is one of those models I could shoot all day. She is currently living and working as a professional model in New York, is the face of several high level fashion campaigns and is the official model of Charleston Fashion Week. The images from this shoot received amazing comments in test marketing and the actress Emma Watson shared the love too.
Many thanks to everyone & see you Ms. Megan on your turns during CFW.

Linger Magazine February 2012 for the love of black & white
Linger Magazine February 2012
February is the month for love right... Black and white is always my love I prefer it. Shooting in b&w sets a mood. The mood for this collection was based on my mood... to show the subject as product. To clearly show how she moves while I exercise my fashion demon of movement in images.. below you will see what ran in Linger Magazine and a few extras because I like them
Thank you to everyone

Directions USA
I had the privilege of working with talent from Directions USA for the NIka ad in Seventeen Magazine.
The model for this shoot was Kelsey Childers and the makeup artist was Jami Svay. The professionalism from
the talent of Directions USA and my contact was outstanding.
The exciting news for me is they mentioned me in a blog post and a couple of tweets in early January. I have to confess this is amazing news. Directions USA provides talent to the largest fashion events/designers/publications in the world and I’m simply flattered my name made the list of credits with them.
Many thanks to the talent Kelsey & Jami including my contact with Directions USA.
