Ms. Megan Scott

Ms. Megan currently resides in NY City and is under management. The fun story is she was accompanied by her father from start to finish during this shoot. Megan and her father went to Salon Vivace where Larry reworked her hair and  then she was off to sit in Adrians chair for makeup, several wardrobe changes then to my disappointment it was late & over.....   But what a great time.  It was kind of Megan and her father to take this valuable time before she left for NY to hang with us. I do have a feeling Megan and her father had a great time.... ok so I know we all did we talked art, books, hiking, and have inside joke lines such as "Going somewhere good" ....

As a side note I shot this in black and white because I was feeling it. Kendrick really chose some amazing clothes that to me just screamed for black & white. (treat coming soon) 

Ms. Olivia Pires

A few months ago Olivia and I had a pretty cool shoot but this one was total fun... Lucky me I was able to work with Adrian D. Howe and Larry D. Webb again. All I can say is we had a blast during what we like to call Sunday Fun Day... Just a total organic lets see what we create shoot and I believe its because we simply work well together and get out of eachothers way... We Adrian & Larry are like mind readers of eachother and truly understand the concept of "Hey thats the XXXXX Departments job" let him/her decide. It really is my preferred way to work let that professional do his or her job and stand back..... Many thanks to Olivia & Susan for playing.... and to Jaclyn Nash for assisting me!

Only Brittney could create a unique story out of a breakfast @ Tiffany & Co... Nice job Brittney.. ALSO note how she mentions me NOT removing her birthmark on her arm.. Let me be the first to say I would never and I mean never remove such a unique treasure of a birthmark... photo shop is amazing but sometimes people misuse the power of the program and we often forget what humans really look like..... love it or leave it I'm just grateful to be a real in the darkroom kinda of photographer very grateful!!!!!

Go Katrina Go!!!!

Oh goodness I'm so lucky ...

Ms. Katrina Chief is a professional print/runway model whose' base agency is Whilimenia in Charlotte. She has been signed out of Miami and Atlanta too. This January she will be on her way to NY and carrying a few of these images in her portfolio.. ok so maybe not these as I always choose what I like to show and not the popular ones and boy do I have tons but enough about that.... Let's talk more about Katrina... Ms. Katrina is a true moving work of art. Her body does move just like these photos show... just notice the slight shadow underfoot... To see her walk a catwalk is extremely special as she just snaps into model mode but the cool part is she is just so sweet... check out the very ending of the video soon to be released she is just so cute...

I also need to bring to your attention the beautiful makeup.. Adrian D. Howe is a professional makeup artist based in N.C.. I feel it's important to work with professional artists as it only makes my work better and Adrian well I simple can't brag enough. I also feel it's important for photographers to take into consideration the value of working with professional artist of all types. From makeup, hair styling and wardrobe believe me these artist are worth every penny as your client feels special and will have a composed look. Also as added bonus to this shoot we used a few jewelry art pieces by Darrell Roach of Darrell Roach Designs. His work is beautiful and Ms. Katrina sure did work the look.

Penelope & Paul

Penelope & Paul were married in Pittsburgh, Pa on October 16, 2010. Sure the actual wedding was special but for me it was way more than that. Penelope is one of my life long best friends little sister and I know her as Penny. But now that she has grown up, traveled the world studying crazy brainy stuff and now known as Dr. Penelope Morrison. It was such a honor to capture her day with a wonderful guy named Paul Nelson. OK so Paul is more than just a guy he is super amazing and so perfect for Penelope. So what if Paul is a collector of estranged music, antiques and has the "Leg Lamp" from the movie A Christmas Story.. he is a keeper!!!! A balanced match of sorts, one of those things were you stand back and say .... good lord Penny don't let this one go!!!!

Many thanks to John Lupton of Elements Events for contacting me for this shoot. Take a look at this party... seriously people no one does it better and the images as much as I would like to say captured the event... it's so not true!!! The hanging live floral arrangements were gigantic, the rooms were stunning, perfect custom linen embroidered napkins, custom designed lighting, the open air clear tent, some many details to talk about....this week of shooting was amazing for me..... I always say can I have this at my party but this time I was so stunned it never crossed my mind!!!

I know Miami loves you John and only the best can drag you to the Carolinas but please come back Charlotte Needs YOU!!!!
